I graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in studio art from Sam Houston State University and with an MFA in printmaking from TexasTech University.
I taught at LaredoCommunity College before coming to IRSC. My work has been shown in regional, national and international exhibits and is included in several collections across the country and in Mexico.
I currently teach drawing, painting, design, printmaking, Art History and Art Appreciation on the main campus for IRSC. I also manage the Visual Arts Gallery at IRCC. I have traveled with students numerous times to Italy.
I have two daughters. One lives in San Anselmo, California where she is a professional horse trainer and the other lives in Arlington, Texas and works as an event planner for Whole Foods. I also have a granddaughter in Arlington.
I also am learning to ride dressage on an eighteen year old gelding named Leo which occupies much of my free time.
